



The Manu Cultural Zone, in southeastern Peru, is a transition area between the Andes and the Amazon rainforest, rich in biodiversity and indigenous cultures. It offers visitors the opportunity to learn about local traditions and enjoy ecotourism in a unique natural environment.



Tours in Tambopata, in the Peruvian Amazon, provide a unique experience in one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. Visitors explore the jungle through hiking, boat rides and spotting wildlife such as monkeys and macaws. Tambopata promotes ecotourism and sustainable conservation.



The 4-day Amazon Cultural Zone tour is a wonderful experience to discover the Madre de Dios jungle. We will start by picking you up at your hotel between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. to head towards Manu. On the first day, we will cross the cloud forest, where we will have the opportunity to observe the incredible flora and fauna of the region. We will spend the first night at our Manu Green Lodge in Pilcopata. On the second day, we will continue exploring Pilcopata, Atalaya, and Machuwasi, with the aim of spotting more animals and enjoying beautiful landscapes at sunset. Then, we will settle in at the Paititi lodge, where we will spend the night. The next day, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by our cook before continuing the tour. We will visit the parrot clay lick and take a bath in Shintuya hot springs, as well as admire the waterfalls. After a day full of activities, we will rest at the hostel. On the last day, we will begin the return to the city of Cusco, where we will conclude our beautiful tour in the Manu National Park.

The first day of the tour begins early with pickup from Cusco hotels and a ride by private bus. Along the way, you explore the Ninamarca Funerary Towers and make a brief stop at the picturesque Paucartambo. Then, you descend into the cloud forest, home to a diverse flora and fauna, where you can witness the fascinating mating ritual of the Cock-of-the-Rock and spot birds such as Trogons and Quetzals. In the afternoon, you reach the cozy village of Pilcopata, where you will find the typical accommodation. On the second day, after a delicious breakfast, you continue the journey by bus to Atalaya and then by boat to the Paititi Lodge. During the boat ride, you have opportunities for animal sightings. After lunch, you take a catamaran ride in Cocha Machuwasi to observe birds and other animals. In the evening, there is the option to take part in an exciting night trek before resting at the lodge. The third day starts early with a boat trip to the parrot clay lick, where several species of parrots and macaws can be observed. Then, the boat trip continues along the Madre de Dios River, with additional bird watching opportunities. A stop is made in Shintuya communities and a hike is made to a waterfall, hot springs. In the evening, dinner is had and an overnight stay is spent at the lodge. The last day involves saying goodbye to the Paititi lodge and returning by boat to the port of Atalaya, from where the return trip to Cusco is undertaken by bus, crossing once again the cloud forest. It is estimated to arrive in Cusco between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., ending the adventure in the Amazon.
